MONTH OF AUDIBLE INDULGENCE. JAMES BLAKE. SEPTEMBER 18, 2011.

James Blake at the Henry Fonda Music Box on September 18, 2011
Not only is he a panty dropper...

...but he almost was the cause of a building drop. No, literally, the Music Box felt like it could have collapsed. So severely, we were mapping our exit strategy just in case. What can I say James...you would have been great--if the arena suited your sound. Case in point, if you get a chance, see him at a smaller arena, like the Troubadour. Or just love him from afar. I still do.

GANAS LOOK OF THE WEEK. SHAWL COLLAR KNIT. PART TWO.

This is the other half of it. An adventure through Oxnard led us to the discovery of the Wagon Wheel Bowling Alley. We ventured inside and all I have to say is--all I can say is--what a beautiful sign. After an impromptu shoot in front of the sign-age, we drove to make dinner at one of my new all-time favorite places, the Old Place. We were so famished from the journey, that we reluctantly didn't capture our meal in photo form. I made the boy promise that we'd return to make up for lost photos--little did I know--he was already planning a trip back for brunch in the near future. Like I said, I'm one lucky woman.

CON GLITTER

I was invited by my friend Jessie to endure the past three whirlwind days in San Francisco FOR the launch of Glitter Guide. It's a blogazine or blog-zine, either name is appropriate I think...that my good friend Jess works oh-so hard on. There are MORE fotos and info about the event on Jess' blog Sweet Thing and Glitter Guide, so, check that out here.

Other than the wind aiding and abetting the flittering of my dress which in turn caused a staccato peepshow of my hot pink unders to everyone at the party, I hope I was a good San Francisco companion. I'm pretty sure I was acting like a crackhead due to lack of sleep but Jessie had not slept a wink either so we were shifty-eyed and jittery together. Oh, creative exhaustion, what a sweet thing.

We had the most kooky, awesome, food and fun-filled couple of days together and I am so exhausted but "Yo prometo..." to be the post-ess with the most-ess this coming Monday. I promise.

I CAME, I SAW, THEY CONQUERED. The Flaming Lips at Hollywood Forever Cemetery

I'm honestly speechless at this point. Still in a haze. Mentally fragmented. I love Wayne Coyne. This moment is unforgettable. If a picture is worth a thousand words, these should make up for my inability to verbalize. I am love (Wayne Coyne says so) and in love (I say so) with The Flaming Lips. I hope to verbalize soon. It's brewing within...
